Pay it forward

We don’t have a cash drawer at The Stacks, so we are only able to take exact change at the register. We’re aware of the equity issues around not taking cash, and our intention is definitely NOT to make it harder for people to get a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, the pandemic and the increase in break-ins over the last few years has put small businesses like ours in a difficult spot.

If you don’t have exact change or another way to pay for your coffee at The Stacks, we have a few additional ways to pay.

   You can visit our website to place your order there (if you have payment set up through Square, or we can send a link for payment later that you can take care of online).

3. Pay It Forward

   We keep a management-funded gift card behind the counter, which our cashier can use it to cover your purchase.
