The Humble Poets' Open Mic

The Humble Poets' Open Mic will be at The Stacks Coffeehouse on the last Sunday of each month, 4:00-6:00pm.

The featured reader for August will be Patrick Tovatt.

Actor, director and playwright for fifty years, Patrick has cavorted on stages from San Francisco to Sydney, Vienna to Dublin, Los Angeles to Broadway. His plays, published by Samuel French and Dramatists Play Service, have premiered in Humana Festivals, been produced Off-Broadway, on PBS, on CBC Radio, German State Radio and in theatres across the country. He is probably recognizable to a certain ancient demographic as Cal Stricklyn for ten years on the CBS soap opera, AS THE WORLD TURNS. He has been nominated for an Emmyand lost and competed in flyfishing tournaments and won. Twenty years ago he retired and moved from NYC to Oregon to hang with his son, Daniel. Now he scratches the creative itch writing songs, rants and poems.

August’s Featured Reader will be Patrick Tovatt.
